5 Tips To Keep Your Commercial Stove Cleaner Throughout The Day

by Miro Hanka

Keeping your commercial stove clean is important for so many reasons. You won't have to worry as much about health inspections, you'll feel good in knowing that your kitchen is as clean as possible, and you won't have to worry as much about strange odors.

However, it can seem tough to keep your stove clean when you have a bustling kitchen. Luckily, following these tips will help.

1. Keep a Scraper on Hand

Regularly throughout the day, you should make sure to scrape any food residue off of your griddle and the area of your range that is in-between your burners. Keeping a scraper close at hand is a great way to help. Then, make sure that you clean out your scraper tray regularly throughout the day to help prevent food residue from accumulating too much.

2. Use a Spoon Rest

Don't just place your food preparation items on your stove top when you are cooking. Instead, keep spoon rests on hand, right on the stove top or directly beside it. This will encourage your employees to always use the spoon rest, which can then be washed and switched out throughout the day. Then, you won't have to worry about scrubbing the stove top as much.

3. Wipe it Down Regularly

Keep a spray bottle with a sanitizing solution and a clean towel on hand beside your stove. Then, as you make messes, you can wipe them up immediately. This will help prevent them from becoming baked onto your stove top, which will make them that much harder to clean.

4. Use Lids

Whenever possible, use lids on your pots. Not only will this help food from splattering onto your stove and making a mess, but it can also help you contain food odors in your kitchen and can help you get food finished and on the table for your customers a lot more quickly.

5. Remove Your Burners

If you don't take off your burners each day to soak them in hot water and get them nice and clean, they are sure to become a big mess in a rather short order. This can lead to them being much more difficult to clean, or they could even become permanently damaged. At the end of the night, always clean your burners in this manner.

As you can see, keeping your commercial stove cleaner throughout the day isn't as tough as you probably think. If you follow these five tips, you are sure to notice a difference in your commercial kitchen.
